Africa, the moors and the cinema...

...were all featured in today's multifarious mix of topics with a range of good music too.
Many thanks to Willem Montagne and Geoff Stow for their contributions.
Willem is one of a small industrious group of Exeter people renovating donated hand tools for use in selected African countries where Tools For Self Reliance, a national charity, has partner groups which ensure the tools go to people who can make good use of them. If you can provide tools, please contact Willem on 01392 214325. If you would like to volunteer to help out with the renovating, get in touch too. They would welcome new team members. Find out more about
Tools For Reliance
and the work the charity does in the UK and Africa by going to their website. Pictures above are from the Tools For Self Reliance website.

Willem is also very passionate about the joys of the moors and the moor he is most familiar with is Dartmoor. On the next show Friday 12 November

The Multifarious Mix

has a guest Willem Montagne, Education Officer with the Dartmoor National Park Authority.
Willem will be talking to us about Tools For Self Reliance. This is a national charity and, under its auspices, local volunteers have been involved in a tool refurbishing group that sends craft tools to partner groups in sub Saharan African countries. Along with the talking, we'll have plenty of good African music.

In the second half, Geoff Stowe will review and preview films on release locally.
So, listen into The Multifarious Mix next Friday 14:00 to 16:00.
